You’ve changed

Bet you’ve heard that one before eh?
What the hell is wrong with change anyway?

After all change can make us grow and become better people. Wiser. Stronger.

Every year I make a list of things that  I have learnt.

Here’s what I have come up with so far.

~~~ Let me know your favourites and feel free to add yours ~~~
1) Do whatever makes you happy.
2) You can’t please everyone.
3) Don’t sweat the small stuff.
4) The biggest mistake in life is caring what other people think.
5) God helps those who help themselves.
6) You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.
7) Look in the mirror because that’s your biggest competition.
8) Empty tins make the most noise.
9) Monkeys are known to throw their own feces.
10) Work hard in silence and let your success be your noise.
11) Never argue with an idiot. They will beat you with experience.
12) Just because someone throws you the ball, doesn’t mean you have to catch it.
^ Their problems ^
13) People will either inspire you or drain you <<< Pick wisely.
14) It’s okay, NOT to be okay (every once in a while)
15) Normally after breakdown comes a breakthrough…
16) Never make someone your priority if you’re only their option.
17) Never undervalue yourself.
18)  Never be afraid to invest in yourself.
19) If you don’t believe you can, then you can’t.
20) The body you’re wearing today is a DIRECT RESULT of the choices you’ve made in the past.
21) Getting in shape is HARD WORK but do the things that are hard and dropping loads of weight  is EASY.
22) DARE to be GREAT.
Regards, Matt “He who dares wins” Jupp
23) High maintenance girls are not high maintenance.
They’re just a pain in the ass.
(A Ferrari is high maintenance) 😉
Time To Get Juiced?
You know exactly who I am talking about here.
Ya know say one bad word about any of these companies and anyone would of thought you clubbed a baby seal to death….
I guess the main question is do they really work?
Well first off every day I get distributors spamming my Newsfeed on my Social Networks.
Messages galore from these <<< Masters Of The Universe >>> “Giving me an opportunity”
1) To become a robot.
2) Alienate all my friends.
3) Claiming the “C” word status
(Pick any name you want here)
Maybe I AM being a bit too harsh here but it’s just the constant messages man….
I’m really NOT surprised though with all the £££ that’s involved.
Especially those at the top!
That’s the beauty of Pyramid selling.
Even idols like Messi the footballer and doctors endorse the stuff.
==Extra Bacon for their Sandwiches==
I mean why would they say no?
Now I may be wrong here (cus I’m only human) but check out this article about a recent lawsuit aimed at one of these brands HERE
Then this video from another on how to make £200,000 in just 7 months HERE
s the above not Pyramid selling?
Is this why a certain famous footballer who represents one of these companies keeps messaging me on twitter because I have a 8k fan base?
“Did we move on this pal?”
So forgetting ethical and money issues for a second here would any of these products help you lose weight?
Well yes actually.
Just like if you had a bowl of soup for the whole day.
The main problem is it’s likely you’d pile that weight back on once
when you start to eat ‘normally’ again.
Here’s the thing
None of these products promote or teach you how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
They ignore one major component for being healthy: exercise.
They saddle you with unreasonable calorie restrictions.
Some even cutting out entire food groups
just to produce that short lived drop in weight.
The rest of the pills in the mix
are just fancy *~*~* Fireworks *~*~*
But here’s the biggie….
Here is why you are going to GET SCREWED.
When you go return to your “pre-diet” eating habits
due to the sudden big drop in pounds
your calorie requirements will have gotten smaller…
You will simply put the weight back on.
And that’s why my friend it’s called Yo-yo dieting..
You see these fad “aids” can never replace real food.
And deep down you KNOW this too.
Containing lot’s chemicals like MSG.
Lot’s of lovely sugar and Vegetable oil.
 Soy Protein <<< the cheapest shit you can buy.
:::::93% genetically modified::::
Hence why you can’t buy it in the shops and the profit margins are HUGE.
£££ These companies are worth around 5 Billion £££
Do these health fanatics selling this shit even know what’s really in it?
Maybe they do. It’s good way to earn some extra money after all.
And at the end of the day this is only my view and opinion. I am entitled to that.
What do I know anyway ey? 😉
But once again the ingredients in these products will tell you everything you need to know.
Personally though I think if you enjoy eating why take away that pleasure with items with no nutritional value?
I’d Just go for those real foods with no chemical ingredients rather than looking for the next quick fix.
Ya know if I joined in on this stuff I could make a fair bit with the large following I have.
I will always remember this guy on Twitter taking a sly dig when I said I wasn’t interested.
“That’s ok. Some don’t see it, as long as you are happy that’s the main thing..”
^Yes I do get it but personally I’m never going to endorse something that I don’t believe in.
Like he thinks the above is right for his followers.
You will find the things I do believe in though are pretty expensive.
(Mainly cos they are fully organic)
I’m not for everyone..REALLY!
Looks like the haters are out to play today.
“People have to apply to have help to get fit? The world has gone clique mad!”
^^ Said the miffed lady on my Fan page ^^
Well that’s right babycakes.
I’m a bit different than other most professionals.
You see I just don’t train anyone with a pulse and a purse.
(I’m not gonna beg for your money on Fakebook either)
I have an application only business where serious, committed people invest in results NOT SESSIONS.
I don’t do deals…
I don’t charge by the hour…
and I most definitely don’t cheap random pay as you go.
(I ain’t no hooker)
I respect my members far too much to let anyone drag them down by bad attitudes and negativity.
I know what works best for results.
I know how to get the best out of someone and make them grow.
What they need…
and what maybe what you need right now is a serious dose of Vitamin ME
Know what I mean?
Fifty Shades Of Mr J..
Wanna hear something dirty? I’ll tell you in a second.
So Fifty Shades of Grey. New film coming out.
I know this because of the ladies seem to be “screaming” all about it on Fakebook.
I have to admit, I’ve not read the whole book but I know plenty of women who have.
Even my Gran too.
I heard it makes women feel kinda f u N k Y inside
so I had a quickie look of the book and I’m pretty SHOCKED.
So shocked that I’m not even gonna quote any of it.
(Get your mind out of the gutter BTW)
This sounds bad but I’m actually glad my Gran can’t remember things with her Dementia.
All I will say is I bet Mr Grey has some serious diarrhea issues
Even though a bit of sick has just come up in my mouth
I think it’s pretty awesome how it makes tha ladies feel.
Because when low self-esteem and confidence kicks in things can change dramatically.
When you gain weight you feel like shit.
You feel invisible; have low energy levels and even a non-existent sex drive at times.
You need something to re-light your FIRE
A spark.
Well forget Mr Grey..
Introducing  >>> Mr J <<<
Time For A Grilling
So summer is now here and this a great opportunity for many to catch up with friends and family and enjoy a good old BBQ!
Did you know though that the average barbecue meal exceeds over 1500 calories?
YEP! I kid you not.
That’s almost an entire day’s worth of calories…just in one meal.
You just KNOW that this type of eating is going to do some serious damage to that waist over the course of the summer.
The thing is though, having a barbecue doesn’t have to be fattening at all.
In fact with a few changes to your BBQ menu you can turn it into a game changer for weight loss.
Grilling is actually a very healthy way to cook meat but it’s the type of meat you choose will make ALL of the difference.
For example good old burgers and hot dogs are traditional BBQ meats, but they aren’t the healthiest items to have.
Go for lean cuts of beef, pork or poultry and marinade with low fat dressing.
If you are going to make beefburgers make them with extra-lean ground beef.
If chicken is on the menu take the skin off and replace  beef patties with ground turkey patties instead.
If you like fish Salmon or Cod is always a top choice and if you really want to drop some serious weight just forget the meat all together and make some veggie burgers.
In regards to side dishes..this is where most people get into trouble.
Normally because most of these are filled with lots of fat.
Instead you could make veggie kebabs and replace mayo for your salad with a lot fat version instead. You could also have light vinaigrette with your fresh salad.
If you fancy some carbohydrates then have whole-grain Macaroni for your pasta salad and grill up corn of the cob but just pass on the butter.
WATCH OUT with those beverages because many such as fizzy drinks and beer contain lot’s of empty calories.
Water obviously would be your healthiest option but you could just stick with light beer variations and if you have a fizzy drink make sure it’s a diet version.
Unsweetened ice tea served with lemon is also a nice and refreshing for your taste buds.
What’s for pudding then I hear you ask?
Well why not try grilled mango, banana and pineapple on kebabs.
Have with sorbet instead of ice cream, replace a peach pie for grilled peach halves instead and just remember it’s OK to splurge every once in a while. Look back at my 80/20 rule on this site.
I really want you to Enjoy yourself. Just keep in mind that by taking a few of the above suggestions you can enjoy great food while getting back into great shape.
Here is to some smashing BBQ’s and a great body too!
CrAzY Tone Up Lessons From Game Of Thrones
Dragons, swords, fighting and plenty of  HANKY PANKY!
No wonder why Game Of Thrones is so popular ^That’s what the guys like about it at Synergy Phitness anyway.I dunno about you but when it’s on TV my Facebook’s Newsfeed gets FLOODED!
I’ve watched it a few times now
but MAN there is SO MUCH going on!
Not to mention loads of C r A z Y names too.
Maybe it’s a bit too complicated for me at the moment.
One big >>> HEAD FOOK <<< anyway.
The thing is though it’s so easy to get caught up with all the details.
And just be confused 24/7.
Reminds me a bit like on how to “Tone Up”
There is huge amount of advice which is “out there”…
Lot’s of different information not to mention a lot  of BS and gimmicks too.
(Don’t get me start on those magic potions)
It’s just so confusing and frustrating. It get’s you nowhere.
It’s those MIND GAMES once again!
Now “”Lemme splaineth, your grace”
We just need to go back to basics.
For example just sorting out those eating habits.
Lot’s of veggies with your meals with meat around the size of your fist is a good starting point.
Exercising 3-4 times a week. Challenging ourselves and being consistent.
Using simple yet the best bang for your buck exercises to get maximum results.
Getting in some interval training.
Make ourselves accountable so we can reach our goals.
Training SMARTER not harder.
You do not need to train every day.
These are just some of things teach and provide to all of my clients.
Keeping it real. Keeping it simple.
This is a reason why I offer a money back guarantee
 Because I don’t need all the fancy fireworks, plot twists and general BS.
I leave that to the other slayers always “slashing” their prices.
I’m afraid you see any of that here kiddo.
He Was Meant To Suck, Not blow..
You see I had this Hoover…
Ya know one of those cheap models.
I knew nothing about it but I wanted a quick solution as I just wanted my carpet clean.
A Hoover is a Hoover after all..right?
Anyway, every time I used this piece of junk it didn’t quite seem to work.
It just spat out dust. Not sucked!
Man it just made my carpet even worse! I even used to shout at it
So after I chucked this epic failure I chucked it out and bought another one.
Then another…. then another….
I must of went through three bloody Hoovers.
Man I am even getting pissed off just typing this.
Cleaning the dam floor every time with double the effort.
And getting NOTHING in return.
I finally had enough of wasting time.
I didn’t just break it. I annihilated the thing into 2389 pieces! (Yes I did count)
Hasta la vista..hover!
So after I then invested in a Henry.
Little BEAUTY! ^^^^^
Henry eats dust for breakfast and SUCKS not blows!
A SPEED Demon!
Just like the footballer Henry!
No shit Sherlock!
I actually love this Hoover.
Not used it for anything else either…
But speaking of nuts, I’m kicking myself in them.
Wishing I just invested into something proven to get the job done ages ago.
Without pissing around with things that I wasn’t sure which would work.
All that struggle for NOTHING.
All I had to do is just invest.
Kinda reminds me of my crew at Synergy Phitness.
Before they meet me they were fed up wasting their time and money on cheap crap too.
Live and learn right?
The Habits That Make You
Do you eat the same thing for lunch, go through the same exercise routine, and fall into bed at the same time each night?
Or maybe you’ve made a habit out of eating whatever looks good, avoiding the gym/bootcamp and staying up as late as possible?
John Dryden famously said:
“We first make our habits, and then our habits make us.”
Confucius said
“Men’s natures are alike; it is their habits that separate them.”
And Aristotle noticed that
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
It’s pretty clear that the habits you adopt will shape who you are.
When it comes to your body, the two habits that define your physique are your eating and exercise habits. In fact, everyone that you know who is in great shape has dialed in these two important habits.
If you aren’t happy with your body, then simply adjust your eating and exercise habits. Here’s how to adopt a habit:
Making a Habit
Use these seven steps to create a life-improving habit.
1) Decide on the ONE habit that you would like to develop. It’s tempting to pick up 3 or 4 healthy habits, but choosing just one new habit is realistic and doable.
Here are some healthy habit ideas:
Do not eat after 7pm each night.
Bring your lunch to work instead of eating fast food.
Exercise 3-4 times a week after work for 45 minutes each time.
Only eat fruits and veggies as your afternoon snack.
Get up early and exercise for an hour each morning.
Workout with a Personal Trainer or fitness professional 3 times a week.
2) Write your new habit down on paper. Also include your 3 main motivators for developing this new habit, the obstacles you’ll face, and your strategies for overcoming these obstacles.
Here’s an example:
My new habit is to work with a Personal Trainer 3 times each week.
My 3 main motivators are 1) to feel confident in my bathing suit this summer, 2) to have more energy, and 3) to fit into my skinny jeans.
The obstacles I will face are 1) not having the energy to go to my session after work, 2) not having enough money to pay for sessions, and 3) not having my spouse’s support.
I will overcome these obstacles by 1) doing my workouts before work instead of after work, so I have more energy, 2) cutting down on frivolous spending to ensure that I can afford it, and 3) asking my spouse to join me so we can get in shape together.
3) Commit fully to your new habit, in a public way. This could mean posting it on Facebook, or simply announcing it at the dinner table. Put yourself in a position where you’ll be embarrassed to give up on your new habit.
4) Keep track of your progress. You could keep a detailed journal or simply make a check mark on each calendar day that you successfully exercise your new habit.
5) Keep yourself publically accountable. This means either status updates on Facebook or verbal status updates at the dinner table. Your friends and family are in a position to offer you support, so don’t shy away from those close to you.
6) When you fail, figure out what went wrong so that you can plan around it in the future.
7) Reward yourself for your success.
Once your new habit becomes second nature, usually in about 30 days, feel free to add a second habit by going through the same 7 steps.
Focusing on one goal at a time is the most powerful way to achieve it.
Taking on more than one goal at a time spreads your time and energy out, making it impossible to accomplish anything. If you have more than one goal on your mind, write them all down and then go after them one and a time until they are all completed.
Why You Sabotage Yourself
And here’s how to put an end to it.
You know the ‘how-to’ of fat loss-eat healthy and exercise-so why are you still living in a body that you’re unhappy with?
In my experience, people carry ‘unwanted’ pounds for very specific reasons.
These reasons are subconscious, which is where things get tricky.
Self-sabotage is your subconscious way of protecting yourself.
Sounds crazy, but it makes sense when you realize that it is a defense mechanism meant to keep things in your life from changing.
You say that you want to lose weight to look and feel amazing, but your subconscious is pulling the strings behind the scenes, keeping your goals just out of reach.
As long as your subconscious believes that you are safer being out-of-shape then you’ll be stuck.
Your most valiant efforts will be undermined by self-sabotage every single time.
Frustrating, right?
But don’t give up.
There’s a way to turn everything around, and it all starts with finding out the reason that your subconscious views being out-of-shape as being safe.
Once you turn the light on to that reason then it will no longer have any power over you.
So, lets dig around for your reason.
  • Do you believe…Change is bad? It’s common to fear the unknown, but this could very well be the reason that you’re not reaching your goal. Being comfortable with where you are today could be the reason that you sabotage your efforts to improve your life through change.
  • Do you believe…Success will bring loss? If you met your weight loss goal, would it bring out resentment and jealousy in your friends and family? Are they counting on you to be the ‘screw-up’?
  • Do you believe…You don’t deserve it? Has someone in your life made you believe that you aren’t worthy of success? Or that they wouldn’t accept you if you were more successful than they are?
  • Do you believe…You’re not capable? Are you unable to imagine yourself at your goal weight? Does the possibility of achieving your goal not seem real?
Spend time thinking about these tough questions and discover why it is that you aren’t meeting your goals. Once your whole mind is primed for success, then nothing will be able to stop you.
What the mind believes the body achieves.
Exercise is a huge part of the equation when it comes to achieving weight loss.
I am passionate about seeing my clients achieve results-without wasting time, energy and effort on mistakes.
Call or email me today. I’d love to get you on the exercise program that will change your body and your life for the better.
Humble Pie
Around a month ago I went to a  Weston Hospicecare shop in a rush to try and a find a  Hospice t-shirt for The Colour Run Charity event which I took part in.
There was a young lad serving at the counter who greeted me with a smile when I came in.
I rushed around the shop then quickly asked him a question only to realize that he actually had some type of disability.
It took him a long to time answer my question for me and to finish his sentences.
Man he was really concentrating trying so hard to help me too.
After I thanked him and as I left the store he then polity thanked for me coming in, even though I didn’t even purchase anything.
After a couple of minutes I just stopped walking and reflected on what just happened.
It then hit me.
This boy clearly had some type of disability but was making a huge personal effort to go out of his way and even comfort zone to try to give something back for those out there desperately need it, for free. His excellent customer service skills also shame many other businesses and organisations.
It just made me think there is so many people out there who just take take take and think of only themselves all the time and that lad was in there helping people with the kindness of his heart.
I found this just really humbling not to mention admiring and it made me realize how lucky I actually am to be able do all the things that I can do or take for granted.
Do you?
I ended up writing him a letter to let him know how good his service was and I was so happy to hear that he got presented with a certificate for his excellent customer service.
This actually made me shed another tear, but with joy because he 100% deserved the recognition and there so many other people out there that do too.
If this ever happens to you. You go and tell them.
It could be the confidence boost that they just need…
